Our organization has been running a shelter home i.e. “Home for Trafficked women” (the home for sexually abused and homeless women). The objectives are to provide shelter, food, clothing and care to these marginalized trafficked women/girls living in difficult circumstances who are without any social and economic support; to prevent trafficking of women and children for their commercial sexual exploitation through social mobilization and involvement of local communities, awareness programmes, generate public discourse through workshops/seminars; to provide emotional support and counselling to such women and rehabilitate them socially and economically through education, skill up gradation and personality development through behavioural training etc. The women are from rural and urban areas of Dungarpur district. These women are also provided with livelihood training i.e. stitching, papad making, beautician courses etc. so that they may become self-reliant. 27 women so far have benefitted under the programme. The funds had been received from Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India, New Delhi.
